Fiore Arneis, Piedmont 2020
The Fiore family began farming their estate holdings in the 1920’s. It was a common story of the times, as growers and simple wine-makers they sold their production to local bottlers and cooperatives. Today, Andrea Fiore is the new face of the farm and began bottling under the family name in 2011. Andrea was the first person in his family to graduate from the University of Alba’s enology program but he truly learned the ‘ropes’ from his father and grandfather. Their Arneis comes from vineyards in both Roero and a few sites near Asti. Made to be fresh and vibrant, the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel. Notes of tree fruits such as apples, pears and white peach are balanced by a spritz of lemony citrus.
