Domaine Thiriet ‘Champs Cervin’ Vézelay 2018

In 2016, Matt Chittick and Camille Thiriet’s dream came true with the birth of Maison Thiriet’s first vintage. It is one of the up and coming micro-négociants of Burgundy to indulge in. Located in Comblanchien, between Nuits-Saint-George and Beaune, its first vintage was produced in a mere 20 square meter garage without electricity. There were only seven barrels produced – four Chardonnay and three Pinot Noir. Everything is done by hand and with intentional care. In 2018, Matt and Camille expanded their production to include Vézelay, an appellation in the north, near Chablis. Vézelay shares many characteristics with Chablis and produces a Chardonnay with weight and complexity, balanced with freshness and high-toned minerality.
