Château Canon Chaigneau Lalande-de-Pomerol 5 Bottle Vertical Set

$189.00
Canon Chaigneau’s terroir is 21 hectares of clay & limestone with iron deposits, at the highest point of the Néac plateau, and in the continuity of the most prestigious part of the Pomerol plateau. They are located 1/2 mile from Château Petrus. The wines are crafted by Thierry Garnaud, who was winemaker at Château Cheval Blanc for 38 years. The wine is composed of Merlot (92%), Cabernet Franc (5%), and Pressac (3%), all sustainably grown. The estate is in the process of converting to organic viticulture. This wine is a terrific value because Lalande-de-Pomerol has historically been underestimated as an appellation.
We offer Canon Chaigneau’s wines to you exclusively as a vertical set for you to explore. The vintages included are 2019, 2018, 2015, 2014, and 2011 (1 bottle of each). These are all suave, fine, rich wines that are balanced, with beautiful aromatic complexity, typically with notes of truffle, spices, cocoa and black fruits. It is a joy to explore the unique nature of each years growing characteristics, as well as discover how they mature over time.
