Bodegas San Valero, ‘Cabeza Casa’ Garnacha, Cariñena, Spain 2019
Bodegas San Valero is a Spanish co-op founded by 66 members in 1944. From this humble beginning they have been expanding for decades, eventually outgrowing their original facility and moving outside of Cariñena in 2002. Their upward trajectory has continued, and their wines can now be found in 35 countries around the world. Yet with their tremendous growth they have maintained exceptional quality standards and still make 100% of the wine on their estate. Their Cabeza Casa Garnacha is a standout wine for us, showing bright red cherry notes mixed with dark plum, baking spices, and fresh flowers. A harmonious wine that will appeal to many red wine drinkers.
