2018 Coltibuono ‘Cultusboni RS’ Chianti Classico
Since 1846 Badia a Coltibuono has belonged to the Stucchi Prinetti family. The Stucchi family is considered early pioneers of Chianti, having planted vines when their ancestor, Florentine banker Michele Giuntini, bought the beautiful property in 1846. Six generations later, Colltibuono is still under family control. The brothers Emanuela, Paolo and Roberto Stucchi Prinetti are today’s owners and managers of the property. Although Coltibuono makes many wines, they are still most proud of the Chianti Classico. As a mark of pride, Roberto Stucchi put his initials on this wine. Fermented and then aged briefly in oak barrels, this Chianti is classically styled, with notes of forest berries, cherries, exotic spices, leather and dried plums. Ready to be drunk now with spaghetti with tomato sauce or a nice cut of steak.
