Tastings & Events

Tasting and event calendar.

Wine Wednesdays, festival dates, dinners, and maker visits — all in one place.

Wine Wednesday

Free tasting every Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.

Wine Wednesday at Boulder Wine Merchant has been running for over fifteen years. It is the most consistent wine event in Boulder and the easiest entry point to the shop for new customers. Every Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM, the team pours four to six wines around a theme — a region, a vintage, a producer, sometimes an importer-led flight. There is no charge to attend and no reservation required.

Themes for 2026 lean heavily into European regional flights. Recent and upcoming Wednesdays have featured the Danube (Austria), the Mosel (Germany), Saint-Aubin and Saint-Joseph (France), and a Sake flight with visiting brewer Satoshi Tanaka. The full schedule is below; lineups are posted on Instagram each Tuesday afternoon.

Boulder Burgundy Festival

Annual non-profit gathering, founded 2012.

The Boulder Burgundy Festival is the most ambitious wine event on our calendar and one of the longest-running independent wine festivals in the Rocky Mountain region. Founded by Brett in 2012, it brings together winemakers, importers, sommeliers, writers, and serious collectors for two days of seminars, tastings, and dinners each fall.

Past presenters have included some of the most respected voices in Burgundy. Festival dates are announced in early summer; registration opens in July. Tickets are released as full-festival packages with limited single-event tickets if availability remains.

See the dedicated Boulder Burgundy Festival page for the current schedule, ticket information, and presenter list.

Maker visits

Sundays at the shop with visiting producers.

When one of our producers passes through Colorado, we host an afternoon visit at the shop. These are usually announced a week or two ahead, run from 1-3 PM on a Sunday, and feature five or six wines from the producer’s lineup with the maker present for questions. Walk-ins welcome, light food provided.

Recent visits: Domaine Faury (Saint-Joseph), Maxime Graillot (Crozes-Hermitage), Pierre Péters (Champagne Le Mesnil-sur-Oger). Watch the email list and Instagram for announcements; we typically host four to six maker visits per year.

Dinners & private events

Smaller, deeper, ticketed.

Wine dinners run a few times a year, usually with a visiting producer or importer, hosted at the shop or at a partner restaurant. Format and pricing vary by event. Spring Loire dinner, summer Italian dinner, festival weekend dinners. Most dinners are 15 to 30 seats and sell out from the email list.

See the Wine Dinners page for the seasonal pattern and past producers.

Private events: the shop hosts corporate tastings, private parties, and milestone celebrations. Capacity is around 25 standing or 16 seated. Email info@boulderwine.com or call 303-443-6761 for availability and pricing.
