Allocations and waitlist

Allocations.

The hardest-to-find wines we carry never make it to the shelves. They go out by allocation to the list. Sign up below.

Some wines we cannot stock. The grower makes 2,000 bottles a year, the importer sends Boulder twelve, and the same handful of clients ask about them every spring. We allocate by date of inquiry and length of relationship, not by price.

What’s on allocation.

Producers we currently allocate include (in shifting quantities by vintage):

  • Burgundy: Domaine Armand Rousseau, Domaine Dujac, Domaine Hubert Lamy, Marquis d’Angerville, Henri Jayer library, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti when we can
  • Champagne: Salon, Krug Vintage, Egly-Ouriet (Tradition, Brut Rosé, single-vineyard), Pierre Péters, Larmandier-Bernier, Vilmart
  • Bordeaux: Library Latour, Pichon Lalande, La Conseillante, Léoville-Las Cases (older vintages)
  • Italy: Bartolo Mascarello, Soldera Case Basse, Quintarelli Amarone library
  • Germany: Egon Müller (Spätlese, Auslese, BA, TBA when available)

How the list works.

Members get email notifications when allocations open. Each notification includes the producer, the wines available, the quantity we have to spread across the list, the price, and the deadline to confirm interest. We allocate within 7-10 days of the notice.

There is no fee. There is no minimum. We do ask that members buy something approximately once a year — the list is for people who actually want the wine, not a catalog of what’s possible.

How to join.

The list signup form is below. We also accept signups in person at the shop. New members are added in waves; expect 2-4 weeks before your first allocation notice.
